CMC students were well-represented in the top three teams at the 22nd annual Henry R. Kravis Concept Plan Competition. Serengetee, a team including Jeff Steitz `13 and Madeline Busacca `13, took top honors for creating a line of T-shirts using exotic fabrics from around the world. Full Story

Mix fun, hands-on science with a dash of Hogwarts spirit, and what do you get? Potions & Lotions, an Earth-friendly lesson in cosmetic chemistry with visiting professor Kayla Kaiser, several of her W.M. Brentt Baltimore `10 has been accepted into the Venture for America program's inaugural class. Baltimore will join a start-up company as part of the new, two-year business fellowship for recent graduates seeking a path to entrepreneurship. Full Story

The Lowe Institute of Political Economy; the Berger Institute for Work, Family, and Children; and the Robert Day School of Economics and Finance came together on Friday, April 13, to present the Southern California Conference in Applied Microeconomics. Full Story

Intermediate Spanish in Summer Session
Professor Carlos Gonzales will be teaching Intermediate Spanish this summer. Potential fieldtrips include mural viewings, excursions to the Museum of Latin American Art, a soccer game, and a Peruvian restaurant. Javier Leon `88 spent 12 years in the investment banking world as a managing director for Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank, and ING-Barings. Now he is managing director of Andell Sports Group, which owns Major League Soccer team Chicago Fire. Full Story
